Day 5 (Tuesday): Having So Much Fun! PDF Print E-mail

Tuesday was a great day for our HIS Heart Praise Team.   We were invited to a local radio station where one of the church members works.  He is an award winning "play-by-play" man in a variety of sports.   The whole station staff was so kind to us.  One staff member showed the kids how to make commercials.  Rev Eloise Parks, our hostess, Chantel and Catrice were interviewed on air.  They did a great job.   One of the questions asked was what would they take home with them from their trip to MA, and they said that they loved sitting down together as a family for a meal.  The staff thought that our partnership with the Pilgrim Church was a great thing for both churches.  After the interview, the next song that they played was "Mississippi Girl" from Faith Hill.  We were giving thumbs up to the DJ.  The whole thing was so much fun.  We left some chocolate covered pecans and all seemed well.  :-).

We traveled a little north of Duxbury along the coast line to Suitate, MA.   It has a beautiful harbor and we had lunch overlooking the harbor.  The color of blue of the water is so hard to describe.  It is amazing.   Rev Eloise laughed at some of us for ordering "Gulf Shrimp".  It was great.

One of the families of the church hosted our team, youth from the church, and host families for a hamburger and hot dog cookout.   We laughed, talked and shared, and it was just so much fun.  We continued to be overwhelmed at the love, kindness, and generosity of the Pilgrim Church family.  We have come to deeply love and appreciate the Pilgrim family.

Our team sang and praise danced for a ladies Bible Study at Pilgrim Church.  Some of the Pilgrim youth joined us and sang one song with us.  We thought the kids did a great, great job.   The praise dance they performed was very powerful.

Our team will sing and do their praise dances on Wednesday morning, enjoy some sights around Duxbury, and then head to Boston for the Celtics game.   Thanks so much for journeying with us and making it possible for us to come.  This experience has been amazing.
